Now in Iloilo City! (April 15, 2009)

After we checked in at the dorm, we decided to tour Iloilo City first before we go to Guimaras since we have the whole next day to visit Guimaras, which is just 1 pump boat away. 🙂

After our trip, we realized that we probably had the better plan than the rest who went to Guimaras immediately. 🙂

We went first to SM Iloilo to buy our pasalubongs… then we decided to check out SM itself. It looks like SM Manila and the people in Iloilo are all so friendly and we really love their singsong voice. 🙂

Anyway, we looked around and around and then decided to watch a movie and then go eat dinner at Jo’s Inato. 🙂 We went to the movie area and decided to watch “The Unborn”. The movie ticket costs around 80 pesos only! Really cheap! And the theater was well-equipped and looks and feels new! Just like the movie theaters in SM Mall of Asia! 😀 Real bargain!

So there… the movie was great and funny at the same time. We kept on mentioning Jumby all throughout the night. And we were like crazy people imagining that we have an imaginary friend called Jumby. 😛 It was funny though. 😀

So after watching the movie, we went to Jo’s Inato to have dinner. We saw in the Smile magazine in Cebu Pacific that it was the best place to have dinner. We didn’t have any idea what Inato means so we were hoping a different kind of menu aside from chicken. But lo and behold. It was chicken after all! 😛 Inato is like inasal!

We ordered each their specialty, a dish of Jo’s Inato which is chicken inasal with unlimited steamed rice. We also tried something different: Manok sa buko, which is similar to chicken tinola except that they used buko juice as soup base. 🙂 It was very yummy and sweet!

Sobrang busog talaga kami! 😀 We were thinking of having halo-halo for dessert pa pero super busog na so hindi na lang. We were there for about 2 hours na rin kasi.

We had a hard time finding a jeep to take us back to UP but we found an empty jeep and the driver drove us directly to UP. 😀 How kind of him right?

When we arrived, we took a bath and decided to wake up early just so we could take the 6am pump boat the next day to Guimaras. 😀
