Lunch Date with Van and Zoe (March 18, 2009)

March 18. I was so happy because I was able to dress up again. What a refreshing break from our dull uniform. Wearing the same style of clothing everyday, 5 days a weeks, isn’t a really happy experience for me.

Anyway, at least I was able to wear my new top. 😀

Went to school at around 11am to meet Zoe and Van at the College of Pharmacy. Time for our lunch date… Our lunch dates are scheduled on Fridays but since we’re all busy this Friday, we decided to have it on a Wednesday this time. Hurrah! 🙂

We ate at Baker’s Passion because we wanted to try their pasta and pizza. 🙂 We had Seafood Linguine Pasta and All-Meat Lover’s Pizza. Then Van and I ordered shakes. I ordered strawberry mango shake and he ordered carrot banana shake. 😀 Yummy!

Their pizza is really value for money! At 150 pesos (more or less) you get 12′ or 14′ pizza. Good for 3 people especially if paired with pasta. Halfway to finishing our meals, busog na kami. 😀

Awww… I’m gonna miss these moments. Zoe is graduating na kasi. 🙁 No more Culture Editor sa Kule. Oh no! 🙁 Ako na ang pinakamatanda sa Kule next year. And it’s official. Hehe. We need a new breed of writers and artists… Ang dami kasing aalis this April. Major problem for us.

Kaya friends, if you’re interested in writing for The Manila Collegian, please apply. 🙂 Let us continue what we have started this year. We are now regularly releasing fortnightly… and that’s a great achievement. 🙂 We wish to continue with our endeavors but I think lack of manpower might deter us from fully achieving our mission. But then again, I hope we muster enough courage, willpower… and may we have tons of extra time to continue publishing fortnightly next academic year.

Btw, our last issue for this semester is our post-election issue (to be delivered tomorrow morning). 🙂 Watch out for it! 😀

So back to my story. After having lunch, Zoe went to see Maple at Jollibee. Binili daw kasi ni Maple lahat ng action figures dun. Pano kaya yun? I wonder.

While eating kasi I told them that I wanted to get a haircut. Super boring na rin kasi yung super straight and long hair. It’s dragging me down. Hehe. So Van suggested that we go to Vivere located at 4th floor of Midtown.

I got my hairstyle from a Hollywood celebrity… I forgot who. I think it was Ashlee Simpson. I just got the idea from their look book. But mine was a lot shorter than hers.

I didn’t look at what the stylist was doing to my hair for a while… and when I looked around, I saw large clumps of hair!!! OMG. I almost freaked out. But I was already strapped down to my seat. I had to get a hold of myself and swallow my saliva several times. Sayang daw yung hair ko. Really, when I’m emotional or something, I do things to my hair. Pero I liked the outcome anyway. It took a lot of mental and emotional baggage. It probably took months from my age. I looked a little younger, again. Hehe.

The probably though is the frizziness… or the “fly away” hair that I got the day after. Sheesh. This is what happens when my hair is layered. I think I have to undergo treatment to tame my mane.

I’m just so happy too because I feel light and bouncy. Hehe.

Nagulat talaga friends ko when they saw me. Ang haba ng natanggal eh. Surprise surprise! 😀

Ayun, I also had my eyebrows threaded. Let’s see if it’s true that it takes a month before the hair grows back. I’m happy lang because it looks groomed and all. Less hassle. 🙂

There goes my happy day yesterday.

Thanks Zoe and Bibi Van for accompanying me to this seemingly milestone in my life. 😀
