Going out is fun!

Last October 28, I went to UP Diliman with Rosie to accompany and cheer for Ate Darl as she represented AKKAP for the Area Judging of Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations (TAYO). πŸ˜€

The day was as lazy and as nerve-wracking as can be expected. We were praying that we be included in the top 5 so that we could enter the National Level! πŸ˜€ The grand prize is 50,000 pesos and of course, bragging rights. Lolz. Aside from those, meron pang iba syempre.

Ate Darl gave a wonderful 7-minute speech. I was moved to tears. Really, her account of what Kuwento Concierto, our project entry, is just so heartwarming. She talked about our patients and how we helped them improve. Ate Darl was funny coz she subtly hinted at asking donations from the judges. Hehe. And they said that they’ll be donating to AKKAP. Yey! πŸ˜€ We really really need money since we have negative funds. Lolz.

So awarding na of the top 5. I was nervous as can be. πŸ˜€ Then, AKKAP was the first one to be called. Yey! We entered the Top 5!!! We got PhP 5,000 for that! Yey! May pera na ang AKKAP. Haha. πŸ˜€ Sabi nga namin nung una, kung hindi makasama ang AKKAP sa Top 5, manghihingi na lang kami ng donation from the winning organizations. Haha. Ganon kapulubi ang AKKAP. πŸ˜› Kasi naman, whatever money we get from our sponsors, we spend din for the children, especially for the sick children at PGH. πŸ™‚ Parang PROPharm lang yan eh… Everything we have, we share and give back. It’s like our moral and social responsibility na rin eh. πŸ™‚

We went home happy. πŸ˜€ I was a little happier too because Ate Darl gave Rosie and I pasalubongs!!! Each of us got a Masskara Festival pasalubong. So cute! πŸ˜€

That day was really tiring but it was well worth it. πŸ™‚

Anyway…

I went out again today. πŸ™‚ My real reason was to meet Eds so I could return her Pharmacognosy old notes… But of course, there were other things to do. πŸ™‚

First, I photocopied her handouts so I’d have my own copy which I’ll be using this coming 2nd sem. Then, I went to E-Jim to have my mom’s resume printed out. After 10 copies came out, I was out of the store as well.

I decided it was time for me to open a bank account. Which I’ll be keeping a secret from my parents. Hehe. I’ll use it for my business… and also to accept personal donations. Really, I’m that desperate. I need some funds for this coming 2nd semester eh. πŸ™‚ Alam nyo kasi, I don’t ask money from my parents… As much as possible, I want all expenses to come from my pocket. Kaya eto, working hard to be self-supporting and independent. πŸ™‚ Ang dami kasi naming magkakapatid eh… It’s too much for my parents if I’d ask money from them when I can opt not to. So I’d just ask them money if I really really need to.

Anyway, I went to BPI and opened up my own account. πŸ™‚ If you want to donate, just PM and I’ll send you my account number. Hehe. πŸ™‚

I’m so happy after doing that… Then, I went to school to meet up with Eds.

Then I went to Globe for business stuff… and ate lunch at Karate Kid. πŸ™‚ It was so long ago since I ate lunch all by myself. I was reading a book while eating… The book’s entitled “A Perfect Husband” by Lisa Gardner.

Here’s a synopsis of the book:

“Jim Beckett was everything she’d ever dreamed of…But two years after Tess married the decorated cop and bore his child, she helped put him behind bars for savagely murdering ten women. Even locked up in a maximum security prison, he vowed he would come after her and make her pay. Now the cunning killer has escapedβ€”and the most dangerous game of all begins…

After a lifetime of fear, Tess will do something she’s never done before. She’s going to learn to protect her daughter and fight back, with the help of a burned-out ex-marine. As the largest manhunt four states have ever seen mobilizes to catch Beckett, the clock winds down to the terrifying reunion between husband and wife. And Tess knows that this time, her only choices are to killβ€”or be killed.”

It’s highly recommended because it’s so thrilling and it tackles domestic issues. Really, nobody is just perfect. If it seems too good to be true, it really is. Behind that seemingly perfect mind might be a psychopath. Sheesh. I’d hate to be near a psycho. And I hope and pray to God I don’t get one for a husband. Bihira naman ang ganito sa Philippines… mostly sa US lang. Or maybe, just maybe, I’m just reading too many thriller-suspense-mystery novels. Lolz.

So now I’m halfway through the book… I can’t wait to finish this because I really want to know what happens in the end. I’m not the type of book reader which flips to the back part to read the ending ahead… I’m the type of reader who goes cover to cover. πŸ˜› Anyway, I’ve been reading the book for more than a day already… which is frustrating on my part because I usually finish a novel half day. πŸ™

Btw, does any one know the game Jojo’s Fashion Show? Girls, you gotta try this… It’s sooo fun! πŸ˜€ I’m outta here… I’m gonna go play. πŸ˜€
