Island Hopping: Part 1 (April 16, 2009)
We decided to go Island Hopping for 2 hours. 🙂
There will be 4 albums all about our island hopping escapade. Hehe… But I’ll be listing here the places we went to.
We went first to the Sea Turtle Sanctuary with the Pawikan Caring and Feeding Station. It was an exciting trip because it was my first time to sea and touch a pawikan! 😀 We just took some pictures with it then we returned it to their cage so they could swim again. 🙂 They are so wonderful! Their shells have very nice color formations… 🙂 And they live in harmony with other fishes…
We then passed by Fairy Castle Island and then we went to Ave Maria Island. 🙂 It’s a very serene and undisturbed island… We went for a swim there. The water was clear and the sand was pure white. There were no rocks there so it was a really nice place to swim. Plus the beach is so shallow. We were already far from the shore yet the water was still below my head. 😛
We then went to Baras Cave where there were so many bats. You can actually smell their guano. 😛 We took some pictures there but the water was so smelly that’s why we decided against swimming there. The rock formations are very nice! 🙂 You should go Island Hopping to see for yourself. 🙂
After that we passed by Baras Beach Resort… Some resorts are really private and looked expensive. hehe. We didn’t go and stay there na lang.
We also passed by Turtle Island, Sol Y Luna Island, Natago Beach and Isla Naburot. 🙂
Island Hopping was my favorite part of the trip. It made me appreciate Philippines more… why would people want to leave Philippines to go abroad when our country is much much more pleasant and well off?
Filipinos should take a trip around the Philippines and see that we are so rich in everything. Our culture and heritage plus our own country itself is so beautiful. 🙂 Diba diba?
We don’t need to go out when our economy is far better than US now. People there are scrambling for work… and though there are lots of unemployed here as well, people are generally happier here than there. Ah basta. Most of my friends visiting US advised me against going there to work because they’re really in a bad situation and they asked me not to get involved there. Oh well… seems like they’re right. It’s time to explore the Philippines and tap our natural reserves so we could get far ahead of them in this time of crisis. Harhar. We have the potential of being the next super country. 😀 We just have to maximize our resources. 😀
Okay enough about that. 🙂 See my next posts na lang. 😀
