My Newly-Organized Bookshelf (December 20, 2008)
This is where I keep the encyclopedia, other reference materials, children’s books, and collections of romance novels.
I arranged my bookshelf today. π And I’m sooo happy with the result. π I only have time to arrange all my stuff during school breaks eh. I call that my mini library simply because most of the books are mine. I probably own 98% of all of those. π
Years ago, when I was around 11 years old, I started collecting books. π My first few books were children’s books and a few romance novels from Mills & Boons. Through the years, I’ve expanded my collection to include the latest bestsellers. π In fact, in high school, I used to buy new books 2x a month from National Book Store. Then, in college, I bought new books from bargain stores like Booksale… and some people already started giving their books to me as gifts. π I’ve had aunts, cousins, neighbors, and friends give their old books to me. Sayang kasi if they’d just sell them or give them to charity or throw them away. Akin na lang diba? Hehe. π
Before, I could only fill half of 1 row of the tall bookshelf. Ganon kakonti. Then bigla silang dumadami coz I buy in bulk. And also because I receive books by boxes too. π Thank you to everyone who helped me create my mini-library.
Of course, I haven’t read them all. Although some books I’ve read 7 times, like the Harry Potter series. π
So today, I arranged them alphabetically according to the author’s surname and then the book title. Come and take a peek at my mini library. π
P.S. To those who borrowed books from me, kindly return them na. π I miss them. π

Yeah. Separate pa dito mga academic books. :DYun naman, 1 and 1/2 shelf lang. Sari-saring subjects… From accounting, to engineering, to journalism, to pharmacy and other medical books. :)Yeah, kailangan alphabetical and I know them by heart. π As in, pag may nawawalang libro, alam ko kung ano. π Can't do that kung by genre and size ang arrangement eh…

Hi Drew! π I'm sure may mini-library ka na din no… Hehe. I have academic books on separate shelves. π And I don't consider them as part of my mini-library… coz hindi maganda yung shelves. Hehehe. :PAko rin, ang tagal ko ng hindi bumibili. Magastos na kasi ang mga pharm books eh. π Most of these were handed down from relatives… :DWow. Meron din akong R.L. Stine… pero 3 lang. Old school!

cool, you posted your own! :)so you're alphabetical. my brain can't handle that. for me it has to be by genre then size. haha

Wooh. Nainggit ako sa mini-library mo. Antagal ko nang hindi bumibili ng books. Mahal kasi. Gusto ko din ng mini-library. Books ko naman from childhood were mostly RL Stine. Haha. Tagal na. =D
