Made by David Organics, which recently launched last July 2013, offers all-natural, organic, and cruelty-free products for hair care, bath & body, and skin care.
Made by David Organics provide their consumers with carefully crafted products, which are naturally healthy, generously nourishing, and sweetly pleasurable to use.
“Everything we make is created with lots of love, tons of passion, and a fair conscience geared toward the betterment of the planet and every human being.” – Made by David Organics
As a beauty junkie, I am very particular with the types of product that I use. The less chemicals used in the product, the better. Thus, I am leaning more towards organic and cruelty-free products. Sadly, it’s very hard to find brands which are all-natural, organic, and cruelty-free. That’s why I was really so excited when I was invited to visit their kiosk at SM North EDSA Annex and to try out all their products.
Aside from being made from organic ingredients, all their products are all attractively packaged and deliciously scented. I immediately tried all their products while I asked their staff so many questions about their products. Haha! Kudos to their staff, particularly to their Marketing Assistant Ms. Grace, for being so accommodating. 🙂
Currently, they have mostly hair and skin care products but they will be launching their other products soon. So, my dear readers, let me introduce the current product line of Made by David Organics.
Shampoo and Conditioner
Their shampoos and conditioners come in 4 variants: Rose and Geranium (for thicker and bouncier hair), Peppermint and Tea Tree Oil (for flake-free hair), Honey with Lavender (for stronger and healthier hair), and Vanilla and Ylang-Ylang (for smoother and shinier hair).
All their shampoos and conditioners are available in 250mL pump bottles and it is only the Rose and Geranium variant that comes in 120mL flip top bottles. 🙂
Since both look alike, you can still differentiate them while in the bath because the one with black pump is the shampoo and the white one is the conditioner.
What I love about their shampoos and conditioners: They smell really good! Back at the store, I tried smelling all 4 variants and I could really recognize all the fragrances of the “main ingredients”. I was able to try their Vanilla and Ylang-Ylang variant and the smell lasted the whole day. (I kept on smelling my hair all throughout the day because I loved the way it smelled. Haha!) The shampoo created a nice foam which gently cleansed the hair. The conditoner also kept my hair shiny and soft to touch. Also, they are 100% natural–absolutely no parabens, SLS/SLES, phthalates, artificial colors, synthetic fragrances, and PEGs.

Rose & Geranium Shampoo Ingredients: Deionized Water, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Cetyl Betaine, Decyl Glucoside, Trehalose, Glycol Distearate, Benzyl Alcohol, Salicylic Acid, Glycerin and Sorbic Acid, Pelargonium hortorum Essential Oil, Guar Gum, Cassia Gum, Propanediol, Phospholipids Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, and Glycolipids and Glycine soja (Soybean) Sterols, Butylene Glycol (and) Water (and) Dextran (and) Acetyl Tetrapeptide-3 (and) Trifolium Pratense (Clover) Flower Extract, Citric Acid
Honestly, this was the first time I’ve ever heard of dry shampoo. They have 2 variants for this: Lemon & Freesia and Orange & Vanilla. This is really quite a nifty product! I can think of a lot of uses for this particularly when you don’t want to (or can’t) take a bath yet still want to clean your hair and smell good. Haha! For example, when you don’t have access to clean water, when you’re traveling, when you don’t have much time, and many many more.
All you have to do is shake the powder, pour it out, and apply on scalp. Then, massage it into the hair to absorb dirt and oil. For only PhP 249.75, you get clean hair and good-smelling scalp, plus you saved on water! ^_^
On my first use, I had this urge to rinse my hair. LOL. But then, when I felt that my hair was surprisingly clean, I just let it be. I eventually got used to the feeling of having clean hair without the use of water. 🙂
What I love about their dry shampoos: They are easy to apply and work well in removing dirt and oil from my hair, which has been exposed to the everyday pollution in Metro Manila. The smell also lasts very long.
Orange & Vanilla Ingredients: Starch, Sodium Bicarbonate, Magnesium Stearate, Vanilla Essential Oil, Orange Mandarin Essential Oil
Lemon & Freesia Ingredients: Starch, Sodium Bicarbonate, Magnesium Stearate, Freesia Oil, Lemon Essential Oil
This is a moisturizer that you apply on your hair after shampooing and then just leave it there without having the need to rinse. You use it in the same way as hair serums.
What I love about their leave-ons: It comes in a handy jar that I can carry in my tote bag and use particularly on days when the sun is out and when I feel that my hair has been “fried” by the heat. It made my hair look healthy, shiny, and smooth. It also doesn’t leave a greasy feeling. 🙂 A 100 mL jar costs 264.75 and will last you for months!
This is specially made for deep conditioning hair treatments. On weekends, I pamper myself and this is now a part of my weekly beauty regimen. It is recommended to use this once or twice a week to give your hair some lovin’. With all the pollution combined with the sun’s harmful rays and other chemicals that we place on our hair, it becomes dull, limp, and frail. To give life back to our crowning glory, apply Happy Hair Honey on hair after rinsing shampoo, leave on for 3 to 5 minutes, then rinse.
A 200 mL jar costs PhP 365.75. Among all their products, this is the most expensive but this is really worth it!
What I love about their special treatments: I feel like a pampered princess whenever I use this. No need to go to a salon to undergo treatments just to have beautiful hair. 🙂
Ingredients: Deionized Water, Cetyl Stearyl Alcohol, Propanediol, Cetrimonium Chloridde, Cetyl Alcohol, Ceteareth 20, Stearamidopropyl Diamine, Sweet Almond Oil, Maltooligosyl Glucoside, Hydrogenated Startch Hydrolysate, Hexapeptide-11 and Betaine and Hexylene Glycol and Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract and Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract and Citrus Limonum (Lemon) Fruit Extract and Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane) Extract, Creatine, Shea Butter, Vanilla Essential Oil and Potassium Sorbate
They also have a Hair Potion (for curly / wavy hair) and a Split End Sealer. The Hair Potion “instantly boosts shine, reduces frizz, defines curls, and sexifies waves.” This is perfect for those who want to accentuate their curls. Simply pour product onto your palms and apply on the tips of your still damp hair. Work your way to the top and that’s it!
Having split ends are really unflattering. Thankfully, their Split End Sealer “helps hair fibers bind together to seal split ends and helps strengthen and fortify hair structure to prevent future split ends.” Simply apply on split ends as often as you want.
I haven’t properly gotten around to trying these two products because 1) I don’t have wavy or curly hair and 2) I don’t have split ends. But based on my first impressions when I applied this on my hair, they both have great consistency, do not weigh down the hair, and are not greasy.
Both products come in 120 mL bottles. The Split End Sealer costs PhP 229.75 while the Hair Potion costs PhP 239.75.
Split End Sealer Ingredients: Deionized water, Babassu oil, Cetearyl alcohol, Glycerin, Glyceryl stearate citrate and sucrose stearate and polyglyceryl-4-cocoate and cetyl alcohol and sodium ricinoleate, Rice bran oil, Sweet almond oil, Cocoa seed oil, shea butter, Polysorbate 60, Aprikot kernel, Creatine, Jojoba seed oil, Wheat germ oil, Oat beta glucan, Tocopherol acetate, Xanthan gum, Lecithin, Vanilla essential oil, Neroli essential oil
Hair Potion Ingredients: Deionized water, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate and Sucrose stearate and Polyglyceryl-4-Cocoate and Cetyl Alcohol and Sodium Ricinoleate, Sweet Almond Oil, Shea Butter, Glycerin, Wheat Germ Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cocoa Seed Butter, Phospholipids and Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Polysorbate 60, Beeswax, Olivoil Glutamate, Behenyl Olivate, Aprikot kernel, Jojoba Seed Oil, Potassium Sorbate, Vitamin E, Jasmine Essential Oil, Xanthan Gum
I love these hand sanitizers! They smell so good, keep my hands clean, and still manage to keep my hands moisturized. My favorite is the Green Tea & Lemongrass variant. You can always find one in my bag. 🙂 A bottle costs PhP 99.75 only. If you find yourself unable to choose which ONE to buy because they are all great, just collect them all! I’m sure you’d love them! ^_^
Grapefruit & Sage Hand Sanitizer Ingredients: Deionized Water, Ethyl Alcohol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Extract, Lavender Essential Oil, Grapefruit Extract, Chitosan, Lactic Acid, Grapefruit Essential Oil, Sage Essential Oil
