I subscribed to the BDJ Box around mid November and I’m honestly surprised that they still gave me the October box. I already knew what the contents were so I was hoping they would send me the November box instead. But they told me that’s what first timers get. LOL
Here’s what the box looks like. I really like the black and pink color theme as well as the green gift box icon on the cover. It is so BDJ. 😛
So now… Let’s open it!
The box is really heavy and it is really packed. Upon opening, you’ll see a card containing information on this month’s theme, which is Parisian Pretty, as well as a list of products inside the box.
You can also see 5 stickers saying, “I’m not beautiful like you. I’m beautiful like me.”
On the info card, there are instructions on where to place them. The first one says that you should “stick it on an object you see everyday, remind yourself that you are beautiful.” So I placed it on the cabinet door which I always see whenever I need to pick out something to wear. 🙂
All in all, there are 9 products in the October 2012 BDJ Box. There are also product leaflets. 🙂 I am familiar with most of the brands but I haven’t tried any of the products in the box. Now I feel that I get my money’s worth, because individually, these products cost more than the box itself. Plus, it’s nice to get a surprise every once in a while.
Out of the 9 products, there are 4 which are full-sized and the sample sizes are enough for several uses. can’t wait to use them all!
Here’s a rundown of all the items inside:
L’Oreal Paris Total Repair 5 Daily Repairing Treatment, 50ml – Fights the five signs of damaged hair and makes hair stronger, smoother and shinier.
I have tried their shampoo before and it’s okay for me. Though I’m not so thrilled with this product because I know I can buy this anytime at the department store.
Garnier Skin Naturals Pure Active Multi-Action Scrub, 50ml – Clears skin imperfections and prevents dirt from further building up.
It will be my first time to try this facial scrub but not the first time to try a Garnier product. Again, this is something easily seen at any department store or grocery.
L’Oreal Revitalift Intensive Night Repair Essence, 5ml – Stimulates your skin’s natural lifters and revives your skin’s firmness and elasticity.
This L’Oreal night serum is something I’d love to try. 🙂
L’Oreal Lucent Magique Skin Illuminating BB Cream SPF20, 5ml – Instantly brightens skin and evens out your skin colour with its lightweight formula.
I’d also love to try L’Oreal’s version of an illuminating BB cream. 🙂
Calvin Klein Eternity Aqua, 1.2ml – Crafted for the stylish and sophisticated woman, this modern scent is inspired by the ocean breeze.
I’ve tried this immediately and this has a nice subtle scent that reminds me of the ocean… Really fits the name.
Syoss Moisture Intensive Care Shampoo, 100ml + Syoss Moisture Intensive Care Conditioner, 100ml – The perfect tandem designed to moisturize dry, frizzy and brittle hair.
It’s smells good. And this is a new product that I can’t wait to try.
Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal Hydrating Cleansing Milk, 50mL – Eliminates all traces of makeup and impurities, leaving skin smooth and radiant.
I think this is from the latest line of Yves Rocher and it would be my first time to try a cleansing milk. 🙂
Garnier Skin Naturals Light SPF17, 8ml – Moisturizes, whitens and evens out your skin tone as you protect it from the sun.
Another Garnier product. I love this product. And it’s so nice that they included 6 sachets. I’ll give some to my mom and siblings. 😉
I’m happy with my first BDJ Box although I hope they would include more products that cannot be easily bought from the department stores or groceries. I’d like to see a more sophisticated set of products next time. I’m also happy that most of the products came in full sizes. I’d definitely say that the money is well spent on this BDJ Box. 🙂
That’s it for my first unboxing post. Watch out for the November 2012 unboxing post. 🙂 Have you subscribed to the BDJ Box? Let me know what you think of it.
